Operation Snow Drop and The Garret had a very successful Mandela day on the 17 July 2018, by hosting 65 grade 10 students from Uthaka High School in Wakkerstroom to a motivational movie, “Beyond the River”, popcorn, slush puppy’s and lunch @ The Bioscope.
The following day, Ina and Ian handed out 100 pairs of new school shoes to less fortunate students and thank the following people for their generous donations. Rita Wiesseman, Peter Naylor & Sue Picken, Marilyn Jones, The Garret, Phillip & Rita Schoeman, Twice is Nice, Fikile Masondo, Bobby Barnardo, R. Blatch, and an anonymous donation. We believe these shoes go a long way in helping the students during their school years.
Operation Snow drop is a non-profit organization (Registration no 067363) formed by a group of professional and business people, who with the help of numerous volunteers, are able to assist with poverty alleviation, upliftment of people and skills training to improve the lives of the less fortunate.
