WACF is about the love for and promotion of good art and crafts; the enjoyment of making and teaching art and crafts and the celebration of a shared creative spirit in companionship with like-minded people.
Artists from everywhere and anywhere can apply to exhibit and sell their paintings, drawings, sculptures, photos and pottery in various venues, private studios, and galleries. Stalls and venues for workshops in art and craft activities are also available.
Foodies can take part with either their own stalls and workshops, or to learn new skills.
With the theme Re-Imagine we want to highlight the world’s most pressing environmental problem namely the inability of humankind to effectively cope with the disposal of the vast amounts of household and industrial waste and the destruction of the natural world for profit and pleasure. By working with recycled materials artists encourage their viewers to question the sustainability and ecological impact not only of the artistic process but also for the way we live today. The concepts that come to mind are re-cycling, re-use, and re-purpose.
