Claudia Holgate works as an expedition guide on small expedition ships around the world from the Arctic to the Antarctic and the Galapagos to the Russian Far East. While she considers herself a general naturalist, interested in the biology and adaptations of the animals she sees, she lectures in Climatology, ornithology and works as an Advanced Life Support paramedic.
She is an excellent speaker and has lectured twice here in Wakkerstroom on various topics.
The Wakkerstroom Bird Club is proud to announce that she will be giving a talk on Monday, 15 June 2015 on her travels to the Galapagos Islands at Birdlife South Africa’s Wakkerstroom station starting at 14h00 due to the chilly weather.
There will be a “Bring and Braai” there beforehand. If you’d like to join in, please rsvp to Brian Guerin (083 415 6701) before Friday 12 June.
