WARNING to all visitors to Wakkerstroom from outside Mpumalanga should be vigilant that if they bring their dogs with them that their Distemper AND Rabies inoculations are up to date.
This is an extremely serious outbreak of canine distemper in Wakkerstroom, Volksrust, Charlestown and Badplaas. This is URGENT PLEASE.
Canine Distemper is an EXTREMELY contagious viral dog disease and is generally fatal as there is no known cure. Vets can only treat symptomatically.
We mention Rabies as well because a distemper inoculation includes Rabies.
